OHPC Recruitment 2025 Details 

The OHPC recruitment drive for 2025 opens its online registration on 12th November 2025. The entire application process, including fee payment, must be completed by 11th December 2025. A computer-based test is tentatively scheduled for January or February 2026.

Candidates applying for Unreserved (UR) or Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹750. However, applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories from Odisha are exempt from this fee. All applications must be submitted exclusively through the official OHPC website.


Detailed Vacancy Breakdown

OHPC is looking to fill 12 positions for Management Trainees and 34 for Diploma Engineer Trainees across various disciplines.

Management Trainee (MT) Posts:

MT (HR): 4 Vacancies (3 UR, 1 ST)

MT (Finance): 5 Vacancies (3 UR, 2 ST)

MT (Legal): 1 Vacancy (UR)

MT (Secretarial): 1 Vacancy (UR)

MT (PR): 1 Vacancy (UR)

Diploma Engineer Trainee (DET) Posts:

DET (Electrical): 33 Vacancies (21 UR, 6 SC, 6 ST). This includes one reservation each for PWD and Ex-Serviceman.

DET (Civil): 1 Vacancy (ST)

Please note that several vacancies have horizontal reservations for women candidates, as indicated in the official advertisement.

Attractive Salary and Emoluments

One of the biggest attractions of OHPC Jobs 2025 is the lucrative compensation package.

Selected candidates for the Management Trainee post will receive a consolidated stipend of ₹50,000 per month during training. Upon successful completion, they will be regularized as Assistant Manager in the E-3 grade with a pay scale of ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500.

For the Diploma Engineer Trainee post, the monthly stipend during training is ₹40,000. After training, they will be appointed as Junior Manager in the E-2 grade with a pay scale of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400.

All trainees also receive a medical allowance. Additionally, those posted at specific remote project sites will be eligible for a Remote Area Allowance. After regularization, employees receive Basic Pay, DA, HRA, and other allowances as per OHPC rules.


Essential Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following qualifications from a recognized institution:

MT (HR): Post-Graduate Degree/Diploma or MBA in HR/Personnel Management with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD).

MT (Finance): Any Degree with CA/CMA.

MT (Legal): LL.B. with 50% marks.

MT (Secretarial): Graduate with ACS/FCS.

MT (PR): Degree with PG Diploma in Journalism & Mass Communication with 60% marks.

DET (Electrical): Full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD).

DET (Civil): Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PWD).


Age Limit and Relaxation

The maximum age limit for applicants is 32 years as of 1st August 2025. The minimum age is 18 years for DETs and 21 years for MTs.

Upper age relaxation is provided for specific categories: 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Serviceman candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates.


Selection Process for OHPC Recruitment

The selection will be based purely on performance in a Computer Based Test (CBT).

The CBT will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions to be answered in 2 hours. The paper is divided into two parts: Part-I contains 40 questions on General Aptitude (Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, General Awareness), and Part-II contains 80 questions on subject-specific knowledge. The exam will be conducted in English only. The marking scheme awards +1 mark for each correct answer and deducts 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Candidates who qualify in the CBT will be shortlisted for document verification in Bhubaneswar. The final appointment is contingent on medical fitness and verification of original documents.
