SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria 2025

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized Board or equivalent.

2. Age Limit (As of 30 December 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • Maximum Age: 23 Years

Age Relaxation is applicable as per Government rules:

  • OBC Candidates: 3 Years

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years

  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 Years

  • PwD + SC/ST Candidates: 15 Years

SSC GD Constable Salary & Benefits

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary as per the 7th Central Pay Commission:

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100 per month.

  • Additional allowances (DA, HRA, etc.) and government benefits apply.

SSC GD 2025 Selection Process

Selection involves four stages:

  1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)

  3. Medical Examination

  4. Document Verification

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2025

The computer-Based Test (CBT) consists of:

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 20 Questions (40 Marks)

  • General Knowledge & Awareness: 20 Questions (40 Marks)

  • Elementary Mathematics: 20 Questions (40 Marks)

  • English / Hindi: 20 Questions (40 Marks)

  • Total: 80 Questions for 160 Marks.

Exam Duration: 60 Minutes.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

SSC GD Physical Standards (PST & PET)

Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Male Candidates:

  • Height (UR/EWS/OBC/SC): 170 cm

  • Height (ST): 162.5 cm

  • Chest (UR/EWS/OBC/SC): 80 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

  • Chest (ST): 76 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

For Female Candidates:

  • Height (UR/EWS/OBC/SC): 157 cm

  • Height (ST): 150 cm

  • Weight (UR/EWS/OBC/SC): 48 Kg

  • Weight (ST): 46 Kg

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Male Candidates: 5 Km race in 24 minutes.

  • Female Candidates: 1.6 Km race in 8 minutes 30 seconds.

  • General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹ 100

  • SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen Candidates: No Fee (Exempted)
