 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Is CTET mandatory for TGT Sanskrit?
Yes, for central government schools. For state-aided schools, State TET (like UPTET, REET, BTET) is accepted.

Q2. Can I apply for both PRT and TGT?
Yes, if you meet the eligibility separately for both posts. You must submit separate applications and pay separate fees.

Q3. Is B.Ed compulsory for TGT?
Absolutely. Without B.Ed, your application will be rejected at the document verification stage.

Q4. What is the salary for TGT in 7th CPC?
Approximately ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 (Level 7) + DA, HRA, TA. Gross approx. ₹55,000 – ₹65,000 per month.

Q5. Is Sanskrit mandatory in 10th for TGT Sanskrit?
Not always, but highly recommended. Most schools prefer candidates who have studied Sanskrit as a subject at least at graduation level.
