3. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Tenure Based DBW position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) issued by NCVT in the relevant Trade (AOCP or Feeder Trades).

Age Limit (as on closing date of application)

  • General/UR Candidates: 18 to 40 years.

  • Age Relaxation:

    • SC/ST: 5 years (for reserved posts).

    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years (for reserved posts).

6. Mode of Selection and Merit List

The selection process is designed to prioritize merit and trade expertise.

  1. Shortlisting for Document Verification:

    • Candidates are shortlisted based on the marks secured in the NCVT (NAC) examination.

    • A category-wise merit list is prepared. The cut-off percentage will be decided by the factory based on the number of applications.

  2. Document Verification & Trade/Practical Test:

    • Shortlisted candidates are called for Document Verification.

    • Eligible candidates immediately appear for the Trade/Practical Test on the same day.

7. Remuneration and Salary Structure

Selected candidates will be engaged on a fixed-term basis with the following benefits:

  • Basic Pay: Paid at 1/30th of the relevant pay scale (pro-rata basis).

  • Annual Increment: 3% increase in Basic Pay annually (rounded off to the next ten rupees), subject to satisfactory performance.

  • Allowances:

    • DA (Dearness Allowance): Central DA as applicable.

    • HRA: As per city classification (if Company Quarter not available).

    • Risk Allowance: At par with regular employees.

    • Night Duty Allowance: At par with regular employees (deployed only in exigency).

If two candidates have the same merit score, the tie will be broken in the following order:

  1. Ex-Trade Apprentice of Ordnance Factory Badmal.

  2. Ex-Trade Apprentice of other Ordnance Factories.

  3. Higher marks in NCVT (NAC) Examination.

  4. Elder Candidate (Date of Birth) will be preferred.
