Central Bank of India Risk Management Recruitment Vacancy Breakdown
The bank is filling a total of 32 vacancies across five specialized risk domains. Vacancies are distributed across SC, ST, OBC, EWS, UR, and PwBD categories.
Analytics and Model Risk: 10 vacancies (Scale IV and Scale III)
Asset Liability Management: 5 vacancies (Scale III and Scale II)
Digital Risk Management: 8 vacancies (Scale III and Scale II)

Market Risk: 4 vacancies (Scale III and Scale II)

Eligibility Criteria (Cut-off Date: February 28, 2026)
Educational Qualification & Experience
Candidates must possess degrees from UGC/AICTE recognized universities.
Analytics and Model Risk (Scale IV/III): Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or Statistics, or B.E./B.Tech. in Data Science, IT, Computer Science, or Software Engineering. Preferred qualifications include MBA/PGDM in Finance or a post graduate degree in Statistics/Economics/Econometrics. Certifications like FRM, PRM, CFA, or CQF are highly desirable. For Scale IV, a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in quantitative risk analytics or model validation is mandatory. For Scale III, at least 3 years of such experience is required. Understanding of programming languages like SAS, SPSS, R, or Python is desirable.
Asset Liability Management and Market Risk (Scale III/II): B.E./B.Tech. in IT, Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or an MBA, PGDM, or Chartered Accountant qualification. FRM or PRM certifications are desirable. For Scale III, total post-qualification experience of 4 years is required, with at least 3 years specifically in risk management at a bank or NBFC (excluding cooperative banks and RRBs). For Scale II, 3 years total experience with at least 2 years in risk management is needed.
Digital Risk Management (Scale III/II): Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity. A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc in IT Security, or Risk Management) is preferred. Candidates with certifications like CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP will have an advantage. Experience requirements are the same as ALM: 4 years total (3 in risk management) for Scale III, and 3 years total (2 in risk management) for Scale II.
Enterprise Risk (Scale III only): B.E./B.Tech. in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering, or MBA/PGDM, or Chartered Accountant. FRM or PRM certifications are desirable. Candidates must have 5 years of post-qualification total experience, with at least 3 years in risk management at a financial institution.
Age Limit (as on February 28, 2026)
Scale IV (Chief Manager): 20 to 45 years
Scale III (Senior Manager) and Scale II (Manager): 20 to 35 years
Scale I (not applicable for most posts): 20 to 30 years
Age relaxations are available: SC/ST candidates get 5 years, OBC candidates get 3 years, and PwBD candidates get 10 years. The maximum age after relaxation should not exceed 56 years as on the cut-off date.
Selection Procedure: Exam Pattern and Interview
The selection will be based on a written online examination followed by an interview. The final merit list will be prepared with a weightage of 70% for the written exam and 30% for the interview.
Online Exam Structure (90 minutes composite time):
Stream/Category Specific Questions: 70 marks (focus on risk management topics)
Reasoning: 15 marks
Banking, Present Economic Scenario & General Awareness: 15 marks
Total: 100 marks
Qualifying Marks:
General and EWS candidates must score at least 50% in the written test and 50% in the interview.
SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates need a minimum of 45% in both the written test and the interview.
There is no penalty for wrong answers. In case of a tie in marks, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher in the merit list.

Remuneration and Service Bond
Selected candidates will receive a handsome pay scale as per bank norms:
Scale IV (Chief Manager): Basic pay ranges from Rs. 102,300 to Rs. 120,940
Scale III (Senior Manager): Basic pay ranges from Rs. 85,920 to Rs. 105,280
Scale II (Manager): Basic pay ranges from Rs. 64,820 to Rs. 93,960
Important Bond Condition: Selected candidates must execute an indemnity bond of Rs. 3,00,000 if they leave the bank within three years of joining.
Unique Requirement: CIC Score
In a unique move for public sector banks, Central Bank of India requires applicants to have a minimum Credit Information Company (CIC) score of 650. Candidates must consent to a credit history check to ensure financial integrity. Any default or financial indiscipline in the credit report may result in disqualification.
