The Odisha government is going to launch a mega recruitment fair soon for vacant teaching and non-teaching posts. For this, extensive steps have been taken by the school and public education department. This has been informed by the Information and Public Relations Department.
A total post 20,000 junior teachers will be employed to fill the vacant posts in government primary schools. Through this, trained youths will be employed to provide quality education at primary and upper primary levels.
The state government has given permission for the promotion of 54,000 senior teachers and principals after the ‘residency period’. Similarly, a notification has been published for the recruitment of 7,540 government secondary teachers. To overcome the shortage of teachers in government secondary schools in the state, the recruitment process has started for filling up 60,250 LTR (reserved for leave and training) teacher posts.
The process to fill up a total of 1799 junior assistant posts for the office of District and Block Education Officers in Secondary Schools.
The process through Service Selection Board to recruit 2064 teachers in fully-aided schools
The process of recruitment of 335 teachers/teachers in higher secondary schools has been started through OPSC. While 150 PGTs have been appointed so far, 367 more PGTs will be appointed by 2023-24.
It has been decided to appoint 1543 PGTs in fully funded higher secondary schools
The Service Selection Board has started the recruitment of 555 PGTs in the first phase in Higher Secondary Schools.
Odisha Staff Selection Commission has published a notification to fill 120 teacher-trainer posts in DIET and BIET.
