A total of 57 apprentice slots are available across various trades. The breakdown includes:
Graduate Apprentice (Electrical): 25 vacancies
Graduate Apprentice (Civil): 11 vacancies
Graduate Apprentice (Computer Science): 2 vacancies
HR Executive: 7 vacancies
Diploma Apprentice (Electrical): 7 vacancies
Diploma Apprentice (Civil): 3 vacancies
Law Executive: 1 vacancy

Educational Qualification & Stipend
The required qualification and monthly stipend for each trade are detailed below. An additional ₹2,500 per month is paid as HRA if company accommodation is not provided.
For Graduate Apprentices (Stipend: ₹17,500):
Electrical: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in Electrical Engineering
Civil: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in Civil Engineering
Computer Science: B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg) in Computer Science or IT
For Executive Roles (Stipend: ₹17,500):
HR Executive: MBA (HR) or PG Diploma in Personnel Management
Law Executive: LLB (3 or 5-year integrated course)
CSR Executive: Master's in social work (MSW) or equivalent
For Diploma Apprentices (Stipend: ₹15,000):
Electrical: Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Civil: Diploma in Civil Engineering
✅ Eligibility Criteria for POWERGRID Apprentice
Before applying, ensure you meet the following critical eligibility conditions:
Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen.
Age Limit: Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
Qualifying Period: Candidates must have passed their qualifying degree/diploma in a full-time, regular course between 7th October 2023 and 6th October 2025.
Ineligible Candidates:
Candidates awaiting final results.
Those who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere.
Candidates with more than 1 year of work experience.
Qualifications obtained through part-time, correspondence, or distance mode are not eligible.
Training Locations in Odisha
Selected apprentices may be posted at any of the following tentative locations based on requirement: Angul, Baripada, Bhubaneswar HQ, Bolangir, Indravati, Jeypore, Kaniha, Keonjhar, Pandiabili, Rengali, Rourkela, and Sundergarh.
How to Apply for POWERGRID Odisha Apprenticeship 2025?
Follow these two steps carefully to submit your application successfully.
Step 1: Register on NATS/NAPS Portal
For Graduate/Diploma Engineering trades: Register on the NATS portal: https://nats.education.gov.in
For HR, Law, CSR Executive trades: Register on the NAPS portal: https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
Complete your 100% profile and get your Registration/Enrolment Number.
Step 2: Apply on POWERGRID Website
Visit the official CAREERS section of POWERGRID: www.powergrid.in
Go to "Engagement of Apprentices" and click on "Apply Online".
Fill out the application form, enter your NATS/NAPS number, and upload all required documents.
There is no application fee.
Required Documents: Matric certificate (age proof), degree/diploma marksheets & certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar card, DBT-enabled bank account details (cancelled cheque/passbook), photograph, and signature.
Selection Process
The selection will be purely merit-based on the marks obtained in the qualifying degree/diploma.
Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:5 based on merit.
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. No TA/DA is provided.
Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared after verification.
Joining: Selected candidates must accept the tri-partite contract on the NATS/NAPS portal and submit a medical fitness certificate.
